Vinicius Jr Extends Sincere Sorry to Los Blancos Devotees
Vinicius Jr has netted five strikes in 10 domestic competition appearances during the current campaign.
The Madrid giants winger Vinicius Jr has said sorry to the fanbase for his response when taken off in the recent heated match against Barcelona victory.
He was replaced in the 72nd min and displayed his frustration by walking immediately off the pitch.
He eventually reappeared to the dugout and, following his team's 2-1 win, attempted to approach Barça's youngster Yamal during unsavoury final whistle exchanges.
"Now I want to express regret to all the supporters for my response when I was taken off in the derby," he wrote on X.
"Similarly to I have said in person during the latest practice, I wish to express regret anew to my colleagues, the team, and the club president.
"Sometimes fervor gets the better of me because I continuously aim to triumph and assist my side. My winning mentality stems from the love I hold for this club and all it stands for."
The player signed for Madrid from his former club in the year 2018 for £38.7m and has notched over a century of strikes in 335 appearances.
But his future in the La Liga is uncertain with speculation in lately indicating that the club would contemplate permitting the young star depart if they obtained a good proposal.
When the winger was replaced on Sunday, TV coverage from broadcaster Dazn recorded him saying: "It's always me! I'm departing the side! It's preferable if I depart, I'm leaving."
In his latest message on X, he commented: "I promise to keep striving constantly for the welfare of Real Madrid, as I have performed since the very beginning."
