Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in an LA Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The influential industry figure passed away following his car crashed and burst into flames on a highway in LA on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, those closest to him, and all those touched by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
