The First Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

In numerous discussions, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a platform few have heard of. Xbox fan sites began covering on PS5 topics unprecedentedly. 2025 was complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. However, judging purely by the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox continues to plan to attract subscribers with strong games on its flagship service.

The Available Now Titles

The two games you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Major Titles on the Horizon

On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of horror and action."

Compelling Indie Titles

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, arrives January 7th — and you should try it whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in remarkably quickly.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Robust Selection of Games

All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not tentpole Microsoft studios games that validate the subscription in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they warranted upon launch — transforming them into ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
