Paramount Skydance Plans to Cut Around 2,000 US Jobs – Report
Skydance Paramount plans to start mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 US jobs as part of a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August with a value of $8.4bn.
More international job cuts are expected, as the firm intending to reveal all specifics via its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.
Previous updates stated the firm was looking to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 positions before the start of November.
Until December 2024, the organization retained about 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 contract workers.
Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
