Fantastic $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a short availability earlier this year, this cartography software collection has returned with an encore available through early December. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company throughout their history, the complete package carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, plus numerous additional tools and content enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, underground complexes, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies considering you even get introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though the purchase is available on any platform, the software is only usable with Windows systems.
