British Airways will offer no-cost high-speed in-flight connectivity by way of satellite agreement

Flyers on British Airways are set to enjoy quick connectivity onboard at no cost following a major agreement from SpaceX's satellite provider.

No-cost and Quick Internet Available to Everyone

British Airways stated that the no-cost, “quick and reliable” wifi provision through Starlink will be offered for customers in economy, business, or first class from next month.

Widespread Rollout Over Various Flight Operators

The parent firm of BA, the airline group, stated it had reached an deal involving SpaceX for providing wifi coverage across 500-plus jets operated by the group's operators, such as Aer Lingus, Iberia, and Vueling.

Smooth Internet starting at Boarding to Arrival

British Airways noted that this rollout for this technology formed part of a multi-billion pound “upgrade” program that will provide uninterrupted connectivity service for travelers starting at the gate to landing, including when traveling across oceans or remote regions.

Customers can link multiple electronics and they will not need a unique access code.

“Gamechanging for British Airways as well as travelers, improving the journey onboard our flights by giving customers continuous wifi from start to finish.”

Present Connectivity Options

Limited wifi access is presently provided to British Airways flyers across the majority of its aircraft through its .air service.

Participants in BA’s reward scheme may dispatch communications plus text-based messages during flights at no cost, whereas travelers looking to access music, movies, or movies during their travel who are not travelling in business or first might pay from four pounds ninety-nine to £21.99 for one connectivity bundle.
